Speech Language Pathologist at Ogden School District

 

 

SLPs work with the full range of human communication and swallowing disorders in individuals of all ages. 

 

Job duties may include:

• Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Communicate with students to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty.
• Determine the extent of communication problems by having the student complete basic reading and vocalizing tasks or by giving standardized tests.
• Identify treatment options.
• Create and carry out individualized treatment plans.
• Provide training and education to family/caregivers and other professionals.
• Work collaboratively with professionals from many other disciplines.
• Other duties as assigned by administrator.

Requirements: 

• Candidate must be a licensed Speech Language Pathologist, or enrolled in a program for licensure with the Utah State Board of Education.
• Professional Educators license or approved for USBE's Associate Educator License (AEL) in Special Education/SLP with the Utah State Board of Education.
